Invisalign braces consist of clear aligners, which gently move your teeth, little by little. They’re virtually invisible, and with no metal wires or brackets, they’re comfortable too.

If your teeth are overcrowded, widely spaced, or don’t bite together properly, Invisalign can provide an effective, not to mention discreet, solution.

Best of all, Invisalign won’t stop you doing what you love. Thanks to its removable aligners, you can enjoy all of your favourite foods throughout your treatment. And with no awkward wires to clean around, you’ll also find it easy to keep your teeth in tip-top condition.

Our experienced team of specialist orthodontists can advise you on which Invisalign brace is best for you during a free no-obligation consultation. And if we don’t think you’re suitable for Invisalign – and it’s not right for everyone – we can discuss other equally discreet alternatives such as lingual braces.

How Invisalign works

Your Invisalign journey begins with a personalised treatment plan, created using Invisalign’s virtual 3D software. This shows you how we expect your teeth to look at the end of your treatment, and the steps we’ll take to get them there. Once you’re happy with your treatment plan, we’ll send impressions of your teeth all the way to Mexico, where your aligners will be custom-made, just for you.

When your Invisalign aligners are safely back in the UK, we’ll arrange to fit your first set, then after two weeks you’ll change these for the next set, and so on. Throughout your treatment we’ll see you for regular checkups, to make sure you’re happy and to check your progress. And we’re always at the end of the phone if you have any queries.

You’ll need to wear your Invisalign aligners for 22 hours a day, and we recommend that you remove them only for eating, drinking, contact sports, and – most importantly – teeth brushing. You’ll be given a protective case, so you can keep your aligners safe when they’re not being worn.

In some cases we may need to attach small buttons to your teeth, to help your aligners achieve certain movements. These attachments are made from a white filling material, so they’re very discreet and easy to remove.

When you reach the end of your Invisalign treatment (congratulations!), you’ll be fitted with fixed and removable retainers, to make sure your smile stays straight for years to come.

Invisalign cost

Invisalign braces cost from £3,500, or as little as £194 a month if you opt for one of our interest-free finance packages.

The cost of your orthodontic treatment includes everything you’ll need for a confident new smile: your Invisalign aligners, all of your appointments, fixed and removable retainers, as well as 12 months of follow-up care.

What our patients say

I had been unhappy with the look for my teeth for many years but the thought of having to wear a traditional brace for possibly two years or more put me off having them straightened – until I read an article about Thames Orthodontics and lingual braces!
